2005-04-27 [Ylaraniala Majere]: No, diplomacy can only stop so much... the powerhungry people will always try to get weapons. Sad but true. And yeah, and also if you learn how to protect yourself anyway you get the best of all worlds...
2005-04-27 [Maurer's conclusions]: Yes, I agree. Protection is good. Not aggression.
2005-04-27 [Ylaraniala Majere]: You would prefer that you enemy gain as much firepower as they think will destroy their opponents over the entire world?
2005-04-27 [Dil*]: Umm, Iraq is not even a comparison to the US. No country ever will be, you guys got more weapons then the whole world combined.
2005-04-27 [Ylaraniala Majere]: I did not say Iraq, Dilandau. It could be anywhere *shrugs* Doesn't matter a bit. And I don't think THAT's right. We have quite a bit less than the whole world. I mean, at maximum a few countries. We are prepared.. and that's why so few people have attacked us. You'd have to be either extremely unwise, extremely misinformed, or extremely stupid to attack us. It's actually more of a defensive thing than offensive.
2005-04-28 [tiragon]: Actually, no, if it was purely defensive why do you think we have Plum Island? The US has violated the no-biological warfare thing (yea, i live in the US but it's true). Plum Island is used for the testing of biological weapons, although the cover is that we are "developmentin
2005-04-28 [Dil*]: Do you know the budget that goes into your 'homeland security'?
2005-04-28 [Ylaraniala Majere]: We use the threat of nukes to protect us, yes. But we won't use them unless REALLY bad situations come up... and yes we protect ourselves, of course we do! We don't want to get taken over!!!! The thing with us is that we use them in moderation or the Commander in Chief gets impeached and outta there.
2005-04-28 [tiragon]: But no one is trying to take us over, at least, not right now, everyone is so hyped on us being the most powerful and richest country, but did you know we're the third richest? And guess what, with all the money going into our "defenses" we've not gotten anywhere on our original debt.
2005-04-28 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Yes, I agree we should pay off the debt. And frankly, if you don't have the weapons before you need them then you won't have them when you do. And the warnings do prevent people from considering that we are a possible target.
2005-04-28 [Dil*]: 400 billion a year on weapons. Ridiculous amount.
2005-04-28 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Not necessarily. You have the best and no one except a total idiot would think about hurting you..
2005-04-28 [Cat0132]: just caught an art thief damn I feel good....and angry lol
2005-04-29 [tiragon]: actually Ylar, we don't have the best, contrary to popular belief the US does not own the best
2005-04-29 [Cat0132]: no actually we probably don't...but we probably have the most. BTW Dil we have those to protect canada as well...
2005-04-29 [Dil*]: http://www.glo
2005-04-29 [Balthizar]: and yet...those in the military are poor><
2005-04-29 [Cat0132]: what are the stars for? I think it means we aren't sure right?
2005-04-30 [Lioness123]: hey, my brothers in the army reserves and he gets paid WELL
2005-04-30 [Balthizar]: his rank? and probley not as well as you think
2005-04-30 [Dil*]: visit link for info.
2005-04-30 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Well Balthizar, considering YOUR dad... I mean, you guys are a family of eight and that makes almost any pay look sorta skimpy.
2005-04-30 [Ylaraniala Majere]: "For those who hope the world will decrease their military spending" Odd take on that.... I have a question for you guys. WHY do you want people to decrease military spending?
2005-04-30 [Balthizar]: No it doesnt,hes a teck Sgt,soon to be a Msgt,and they still dont get paid that much...around 34,000 a year
2005-04-30 [Lioness123]: he's a private, and I know alot of guys go into the service because of the pay
2005-04-30 [Balthizar]: its the benifits, not the pay,and privates get paid less then my dad
2005-04-30 [Lioness123]: i know that, but for a 22 year old guy living on his own, he makes good money
2005-04-30 [Dil*]: Isn't it self explanitory? It's a sick sad joke the amount you spend on defense. I would call it bordering on paranoia.
2005-04-30 [Ylaraniala Majere]: *shrugs* So? What does that matter to you?
2005-04-30 [Dil*]: You should care. That money comes from your taxes. Why do I care? I'm not sure, probably pointing out the stupidity of your current govt.
2005-04-30 [Balthizar]: Or ,we like to be safe rather then sorry
2005-04-30 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Exactly. *agrees with Balthizar*
2005-04-30 [Dil*]: Fear the greatest controller? Sure.
2005-04-30 [Balthizar]: I would rather be safe and have no fear, then be afraid and unsafe
2005-04-30 [Balthizar]: Tell me Dil,If Canada and the US went to war,who would win?
2005-04-30 [tiragon]: Well, The US would win that part, but then we'd get destroyed over by Canada's allies and everyone who doesnt like us
2005-04-30 [Balthizar]: I didnt ask you Tiragon,so stay out of it
2005-04-30 [tiragon]: No, If it is in this wiki, where it is up for discussion, I will comment on it. The only way to keep me from doing that would be to "ban" me
2005-04-30 [Balthizar]: Then i humbly request you let the person i asked answer before commenting
2005-04-30 [tiragon]: in that case ok
2005-05-01 [Dil*]: We'd get our ass kicked so bad. but USA isn't exactly on the popular list..so it might cause a domino affect. Then again govts are scummy, so they'd probably side with the US because it's more profitable. Then again, Canada doesn't even really stand up for itself. We should, damn lumber dispute BS. I dislike my govt. spineless worthless bunch, especially the current liberals, who will probably get kicked out of office for this stupid scandal. I dislike paul martin. Wow, rantage..well now, I think I dislike most govts.
2005-05-01 [Doormat]: If the US went to war against Canada it would be dishonourable and make the US a disgrace...att
2005-05-01 [Ri'hala]: Lmao Diablo. Seriously. XD
2005-05-01 [Doormat]: quote 'US regular armed forces of about 380,000 sailors, 370,000 airmen, and 480,000 soldiers (10 divisions) translate into regulars of 38,000 for the Canadian navy, 37,000 for the air force, and 48,000 (one division) for the Canadian army. Reality is a Canadian armed force of 60,000 regulars.'
2005-05-01 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Yeah, we would cream you simply because you guys don't have as many people in your military as we do. That's exactly what I was talking about though, in a way. Because we have so much military prowess other countries won't attack us... like, say, Canada. And my sympathies Dil, I know how it feels to want to trash your government!!!!
2005-05-01 [Doormat]: You really think we're about to start a war? Anyways, if you do attack us, you'll screw the whole UN thing, and then everyone will bash America, because attacking Canada means that even peacekeeping countries aren't safe.
2005-05-01 [Dil*]: Not attacking any peacekeeping country, it's THEE peacekeeping country :P. Alot of amerians think canadians are their backwards but friendly neighbours..
2005-05-01 [RaineDrop]: they are not "backwards" but they are our "neighbors"...
2005-05-01 [Dil*]: we have a fricken army! we know it's small >.<
2005-05-01 [RaineDrop]: well, *i* knew yall had one...i live 5 minutes from the Canadian border...i could walk across the Peace Bridge and drink in Canada if i wanted...lol..
2005-05-01 [Balthizar]: Canada is awsomeness
2005-05-01 [Lioness123]: the USA is the military backbone for alot of countries, so we NEED a big military
2005-05-01 [RaineDrop]: i think canada is cool...if i didn't *love* America, i would move to canada....i always wanted to live in one of the parry provinces...so
2005-05-01 [KimoN]: no but really 600 billion on the millialry in america every yr? is that really necessary? thats enough to set up 3000 major hospitals and fund them for a centuary....or build a couple of tens of thousands of schools. I think your government is enforcing paranoia and fear in the population to back them up with the wars they fund. The fact is for a country as big as america, they could defeat anyone who tries to invade them because they are part of the UN. The whole population is armed too so good luck to anyone who tries to invade america. it will never happen, even if the millitary was getting 1/4 of the funding its getting now. WHat a big waste of human resources. war.
2005-05-01 [RaineDrop]: it is necessary because our military is used for FAR more than just war and conflict. our military is also used for peacekeeping, and is sent in to help foreign countries when they ask for military aid. we go into hot zones, we intimidate radical terrorists and other small groups of troublemakers.
2005-05-01 [RaineDrop]: ...more money to public education than ANY OTHER president in history. and yes, 600 billion dollars is alot, but that is war time funding...that is not the normal amount we put into our military.
2005-05-01 [KimoN]: Where exactly is the army used for peace keeping? Maybe a few thousand here and there but not the vast amounts that justify 600 billion. Man for man europe does not spend that much and we are safe as can be. u do have a shortage of health care, 45 million americans without health insurance. 60 billion is enough for that...but the us would rather play global policeman than look after its own brothers? hmmm. Bush educating the public u say? The american library association (http://www.ala
2005-05-01 [Balthizar]: what i think is funny is...everyone else is worried about what the US does..and how we act...but no one worries about there own country, can anyone here honestly say, there country is better, that they have some thing we dont or they have somthing that is better?
2005-05-01 [KimoN]: more or less.....brita
2005-05-01 [Balthizar]: I admit our faults, and if i was old anough to vote i would have them changed, but i cant....yet...
2005-05-01 [RaineDrop]: i vote, and i vote for change...i understand that the US ain't perfect, but it's still my home, and i'm proud of it. the fact is [KimoN], you are NOT american, so you bitching about american problems just makes you into an ass. why not focus on your OWN country? yes, you can say what you will on american foreign policy since that has to do with you, but as for OUR healthcare and education, it is none of your concern.
2005-05-01 [Balthizar]: Hoorah!
2005-05-01 [Dil*]: It always ends up this way, if you can't find an arguement you just point out the location of the person and say 'mind their own business'. Also this wiki is not supposed to be used for petty flame wars. Insults are not tolerated here.
2005-05-01 [RaineDrop]: i *could* argue it, but franckly, i don't feel i should HAVE to....he is NOT an american, so why should he get all bent out of shape by how WE run our OWN country? damn it, i mean, you bitch about how we run EVERYTHING! our foreign policy, or taxes, how much we GIVE in aid, now how we run our OWN country? i think i have every RIGHT to tell yall to mind your own business. i'm tired of everyone treating America as their bitch. we are to be good little dogs, consume your countries exports, give your countries foreign aid, offer military aid when needed, and sit quietly and smile, waiting for your next comand....well fuck that. you can bitch all you want about our foreign policy, but stay out of
2005-05-01 [RaineDrop]: out internal affairs
2005-05-01 [Balthizar]: HOORAH! lol i love doing that..but Raine is right, stay out of our internal affairs
2005-05-01 [RaineDrop]: ... i just got a link in an email with some awesome images!!! yay!
2005-05-01 [RaineDrop]: this one is awesome...(^_^) as is this other one...
2005-05-01 [Lioness123]: I like the one w/ lincoln and washington
2005-05-01 [RaineDrop]: i do too...(^_^) i wish i could post it in my house, but it wouldn't be allowed...but i'll put it on my EP house when i get the chance. i thought the supporters of this wiki would like it, so i thought i would sare it
2005-05-01 [Doormat]: You mean they're copyrighted?
2005-05-01 [RaineDrop]: they were sent to me on an email (i was sent the link to the website), they are "clip art" designated for free use on the web...they are permitted to be shared and used by the makers according to the website, them encouraging you to use them and spread the pride of America and so on...but as for the ET rules, i simply can't post the one with bush because he is considered a "celebrity"
2005-05-01 [KimoN]: What does it matter if someone who doesnt live in america uses my arguement or not [RaineDrop]? If an american were to use my arguments or if a chinease person used that argument it doesnt alter its validity. The fact is that i value the quality of life of other humans, what ever the country they are from. Instead of getting angry about it u should meditate and ask yourself if there is a poor health service in america, or poor library funding, instead of immediately forgetting my argument and jumping to unnecessary patriotic banners portraying your incompetent president.
2005-05-01 [Balthizar]: Ohhh,so its ok for you to get into our internal affairs..but the moment we look into yours you start claiming we are butting ni
2005-05-01 [Dil*]: no. Go ahead, talk about lumber dispute or Quebec seperation. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
2005-05-01 [RaineDrop]: i love our president, he is perfectly competent, and because i don't feel it's any of your business how we run our country, (since we are not allowed to say anything or do anything about any others) i moved on to looking at some clip art i got in an email. you have the right to your opinions of course. but i also have the right to ignore you. i came to this wiki to talk to other bush supporters and other patriotic Americans. if i want to hear about someone bashing my president, or country, i will go to the Bush debate wiki.
2005-05-02 [Dil*]: Since when did anyone say you americans didn't have a right to state your opinion on international matters?
2005-05-02 [KimoN]: Rainedrop if ud just read my messages. I stated in my second last message excluding this one 'I am open to any greivances u have towards my country'. I dont like many of the things my vountry does. I am not a patriotic idiot and my love for humanity is not imprisoned by a country's boundaries. Human wellbeing is as valuble here, in america or in south africa. If you dont want to defend your president on the issues i have stated then i guess i must be right and it is but cognitive dissonance which gives you the 'right to ignore' me.
2005-05-02 [RaineDrop]: no, more like i don't care what other countries are doing. i'm well aware of the problems in america. being of the lower middle class, living on the outskirts of a dying city, surrounded by ghettos inhabited by the unfortunate people you speak of, i am painfully aware of human suffering due to problems with healthcare and such. forgive me to care more about these people, than those halfway around the world. i don't point out other's mistakes because i have enough of my own to deal with. "don't try to pluck the straw from your brother's eye until you remove the stake from your own" sort of idea.
2005-05-02 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Hey, Raine, slow down! Yikes! O_O And also if you don't want to talk to the opposers, may I suggest Support Bush? I'm not absolutely certain that they don't allow the opposers but it's a strong possibility
2005-05-02 [KimoN]: its ok...i thought rainedrop was another arrogant one and was ignoring me but shes ok cos she knows of the problems :) no worries dont ban her we are all just debating ylara :D
2005-05-02 [Dil*]: support bush?? hey that's the one they kicked me out of :)
2005-05-02 [Ylaraniala Majere]: *shrugs* Just was a suggestion for an alternative for Rainedrop...
2005-05-02 [RaineDrop]: i just thought *this* wiki was one where i could talk to other bush supporters, and i have avoided the page on here Bush Supporters Association Discussions just because i didn't want to *debate* him. i don't *mind* it, but really, *everywhere* i go people are talking the same bad things about him, and so i thought *one* wiki that supported him would be a nice escape. that's all
2005-05-02 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Oh *winces slightly* Not here I'm afraid... you could make one of your own?
2005-05-02 [RaineDrop]: naw...i'm too lazy...guess i just, need to keep looking...*sig
2005-05-03 [Lioness123]: raine, why can't you go to elfpack?
2005-05-03 [RaineDrop]: sunrose kicked me out
2005-05-03 [Lioness123]: why? what happened? (if you don't mind me asking)
2005-05-03 [RaineDrop]: she just doesn't seem to like me anymore...so i'm gone...may be able to go back someday, but maybe (or likely) not....
2005-05-17 [Kyrinn]: Hello all... Back after a nice long break. ^^
2005-05-17 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Hello
2005-05-21 [Satin in a Coffin]: hey i noticed that on one of ure banners it says support bush or support terrorists. i thought that was kinda funny since hes done nothing to the terrorists of 9/11, he did nothing to stop the terrorists of 9/11- when he couldve, and btw we are TORTURING and killing INNOCENT iraqis over there. hell yeah i am against terrorism- who isnt? if neone can answer why were atwar with proof- not reliqious beleifs or egogenerated opinoins, or that they had the "weapons of mass descruction" which apparently we found out that they dont, i will actually have some respect for that man. im sorry for ranting on like that, i respect peoples opinoins, but bc i dont support him doesnt mean i support terrorism.
2005-05-21 [Michael Asher]: my mom is making mashed taters for dinner.
2005-05-22 [Kyrinn]: yummmmm
2005-05-22 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Alright... I don't know what you mean by proof in this case, because frankly all anyone can depend on for something like this is who they listen to. Abu Graib (sp) was a tragedy. I do not think that our troops are continuing those acts, since they have seen what happened to those who got caught. That's just speculation, of course. But still - from what I know of the people who go into the armed forces, only the odd ones out would do such a horrid thing. To the "done nothing" claim, I DO have some proof against that. Fox News has been keeping a basic head count of how many terrorists and soldiers died in a day. Recently, we had a number like 120 to 9. Also, if you think about it, Suddam
2005-05-22 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Hussien was a terrorist in himself. He tortured people. Let the elite rape people from off the street. Had the women who were raped stoned for impurity. Starved Iraqis to death. Beat Iraqis to death. Allowed fathers to beat their children and wives. Took people out of their homes in the middle of the night and who knows where they went. Patrolled the streets and if a woman had her stockings rumpled - and they were the kind that did, too - she was pulled over and questioned. This happened to an American woman a while back, she wrote about it in a book called Not Without My Daughter. You can't leave the country unless you sneak out. If you're caught you die. If you aren't caught your
2005-05-22 [Ylaraniala Majere]: family would die. The biggest reason (this from some of the Iraqi children, women, AND men) that Iraqis are willing to risk death by supporting democracy is "How could it get any worse?" Also, as far as the WMD, two things happened. One, the way WMD was defined changed into something more catastrophic than it used to be. If nerve gas that can kill an entire village at one go isn't a Weapon of Mass Destruction, than the definition has to be really messed up. Second, there WERE plans that Saddam was executing at the time to GET what is now called WMD. Nuclear weapons. They found plans in certain bases. Third and finally, it is quite possible that WMD was shipped out of that country so that
2005-05-22 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Saddam would not get caught breaking the sanction. There was a steady convoy going out of Iraq into Syria (sp?) from about two months before the war started to the war's end. We still do not know what was on those covered trucks.
2005-05-22 [Ylaraniala Majere]: (sources: Fox News Station, www.FoxNews.co
2005-05-22 [KimoN]: http://www.gua
2005-05-22 [Balthizar]: theres goping to be deaths in war,you cant help that,Civilians will die either way,no matter how careful you are
2005-05-22 [Ylaraniala Majere]: And that's a lot less deaths than there could be
2005-05-23 [Tiger Shark]: PRESIDENT BUSH IS COMMING TO MY HIGH SCHOOL TOMORROW!!! And because I'm on student government I get to meet him ^-^
2005-05-23 [Satin in a Coffin]: Okay, Ylaraniala Majere, thank you. This is mostly why I go into wikis like these even if I don't support what they are about. To get more information about these types of things because I think war is wrong. I'm sorry again for getting mad, but I do beleive that because I don't support what Bush is doing it doesn't mean I support terrorists. I find that rude and stereotypical. I'm not asking for you to change your banner or anything, I just think that you should think about it. Thanks.
2005-05-23 [Tiger Shark]: ^-^ go Greece-Athena!
2005-05-23 [Kyrinn]: Hey Tiger thats COOL! Id love to meet him, Im jealous! ^^
2005-05-23 [Tiger Shark]: lol, he's gonna be there from 7:30 to 9 and I'm so nervous!
2005-05-23 [Kyrinn]: Will you get to talk with him?
2005-05-23 [Kyrinn]: Be sure to get your picture taken with him!
2005-05-23 [Tiger Shark]: yeah we get to ask him questions and our opinions etc, I still don't know what I'm going to say
2005-05-23 [Kyrinn]: ohhhh man I dont know what I would say either....
2005-05-23 [Tiger Shark]: it's driving me crazy, lol
2005-05-23 [Kyrinn]: Id have to really think about it and write it on a notecard.. Or just be honest with him and tell him Im so excited to meet him that I forgot what I was going to say, lol
2005-05-23 [Tiger Shark]: I was thinking about that, and I know I'm gonna be up all night thinking about it
2005-05-23 [Kyrinn]: You will have to let us know how it goes, Ill be thinking of you, lol!
2005-05-23 [Tiger Shark]: I'll be sure to get on as soon as I'm home ^-^
2005-05-23 [Kyrinn]: WOOHOO!!
2005-05-23 [Tiger Shark]: lol
2005-05-24 [Ylaraniala Majere]: You're welcome, [Satin in a Coffin]. ^^ I like explaining to someone who is on the opposite side yet is willing to listen, even if it doesn't change their mind, at least they really know what I think. And I'll consider the change, but I don't know if I'll execute it. And GEEZ TIGERSHARK YOU ARE SO LUCKY!!!!! Please make sure that the President knows that many of the next generation are proud of him!!!!!!! ^^
2005-05-24 [Kyrinn]: I wish he would come up here, Id sooo be there to meet him!
2005-05-24 [chasingpeace]: i think that when the president goes to places like schools, people aren't brave enough to ask questions that oppose him. I'd like to meet him to ask him questions like "why haven't you meantioned Bin Laden for a while...are you still looking for him? have you given up on that? if you have, why are there still people there?" and also about the infamous "My Pet Goat" fiasco...I also agree with [Satin in a Coffin]...I'm pretty much against everything Dubya stands for, but I do NOT support terrorism. And why is it in a disclaimer? Supporters of Dubya are obviously proud of not supporting terrorists...t
2005-05-24 [chasingpeace]: to ME, mind you
2005-05-24 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Well, if they disagree with the banner then probably they'll say it. And also, if people want to ask him such questions they should. Btw, he DID mention Bin Laden lately, simply said that he hadn't got him yet but people are still looking. And WHAT fiasco?
2005-05-24 [chasingpeace]: you have never heard of "My Pet Goat"??
2005-05-25 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Nope.
2005-05-25 [chasingpeace]: Well, when Dubya first heard about 9/11, he was at an elementary school reading a book called "My Pet Goat". Once he was told by a member of his guard, he kind of looked at him, then went back to the book. He sat there for a few minutes, with a look of confusion on his face, then turned the book over after realizing that he was trying to read it upside down. When I first saw the tape, i laughed so hard, it was hilarious. Then it depressed me, i realized that he didn't DO anything! he just sat there trying to read abook upside down instead of politely excusing himself and even think about doing something about the national tragedy that we were just experiencing and help all the people dieing!
2005-05-25 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Hmm... well I didn't think it was true.. when I saw it... I dunno, that sounds really weird.
2005-05-25 [chasingpeace]: it's true. It was on the news which is where i first saw it...national news
2005-05-25 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Yeah, so was Newsweek's darned thing >.< Where was it from?
2005-05-25 [chasingpeace]: im not sure, it was so long ago. do you remember where you were when 9/11 happened? they say everyone can remember...
2005-05-25 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Yeah, I remember... I was happy that morning and came downstairs and my dad was staring at the television... and he told me.. didn't believe it at first
2005-05-25 [chasingpeace]: i was in sixth grade, the first glimpse i caught of it was when i was walking into the chorus room and it was on the television. I just thought our teacher was watching a show or something, because he turned it off right away. I didnt find out what it really was until i got back to homeroom.
2005-05-25 [Tiger Shark]: TODAY WAS AWESOME!!!!
2005-05-25 [Kyrinn]: Hey how did it go?? Did you get to talk with him??
2005-05-25 [Tiger Shark]: ^^ yeah we had a 15 minute question session on the stage with him, and I never knew how much aof a commedian he is until yesterday
2005-05-25 [Ylaraniala Majere]: lol
2005-05-25 [Tiger Shark]: lol, so anyways
2005-05-25 [Kyrinn]: he seems like an easy going guy...
2005-05-26 [Tiger Shark]: I respect that ^^

2005-07-04 [Leelo]: yup yup
2005-07-04 [Tiger Shark]: anywh00t
2005-07-04 [Kyrinn]: So, what is everyone going to do for the 4th?
2005-07-04 [Tiger Shark]: sleeping in, then going to a civil war re-enactment, then going to see fireworks
2005-07-04 [Leelo]: i'm goin over to my families house, for a family get together for the forth, have a cook out and everythin.
2005-07-05 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Well, we just had ours... basically watching TV most of the night and setting off a few sparklers and firecrackers. Nothing else because there's a burn ban here, hasn't rained in ages...
2005-07-05 [Tiger Shark]: O.o I think this is the first fireworks I've ever been to where I accually got hit in the head by a falling piece of cardboard @.o
2005-07-06 [Ylaraniala Majere]: What the... how'd THAT happen?
2005-07-06 [Tiger Shark]: wind was blowing in our direction ^^;
2005-07-06 [Kyrinn]:
2005-07-06 [Leelo]: Awesome
2005-07-07 [Catlover]: Interesting idea.
2005-07-07 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Interesting, but wrong... highly religious people seem to think in black and white terms. Either something is good or something is evil, of God or of the Devil. Bush just happens to be one of them.
2005-07-07 [Catlover]: What about the other points? I'm not really supporting the idea, I'm just curious. I don't really know enough about Bush to comment.
2005-07-07 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Some make sense, others don't. I mean, Bush is not childish, yet the article says he is without backing it up, simply saying that it's obvious. Drinking every day is not the definition of alcoholic. Being an alcoholic is when you can't just have one drink. Also, being an alcoholic means that you are mean. Especially when you drink. I know, my grandfather is one. Even now, after decades of being careful, he can't stop drinking once he's had one glass, and he's insanely insensitive. It's not just his basic personality though, it's the drink. The same symptoms happened for my cousin too, and a friend's friend. But Bush isn't mean. Perhaps to the terrorists he's hard, but Bush isn't callous or c
2005-07-07 [Ylaraniala Majere]: cruel. He makes certain that people who hurt know that he hurts with them, and you can see that truth in his eyes. I don't think that Bush is a "dry drunk".
2005-07-07 [Kyrinn]: And at least he admitted to having HAD a problem, whereas a certain president before him denied anything he did wrong. *cough* CLINTON*cough*
2005-07-07 [Ylaraniala Majere]: True... I mean, "I did not inhale" is kinda obvious.
2005-07-07 [Kyrinn]: *laughs* Yeah that got me too. I mean, WTF?? "I did not inhale"? "I did not have sexual relations with that woman"? What a fine example of a role model, NOT...
2005-07-07 [Leelo]: lol ahha and funny thing is, aot of people still like clinton
2005-07-07 [Ylaraniala Majere]: My real question is why? I mean, he obviously lied, so how can you trust anything he says?
2005-07-07 [Leelo]: Yeah I know haha, I asked why once, and someone said cuz when Bush hit office New York got bombed or somethin, and I said well with or with out Bush, New York would have still gotten bomb, and it all happened because of Clinton, so just be thankful we've got Bush to clean up Clinton's mess.
2005-07-07 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Yeah, Clinton was letting people know that he wasn't gonna do anything... I mean, we got attacked during his time too. Most people don't know that actually...
2005-07-07 [Leelo]: Yeah Clinton is the reason why we have so many ilegal immagrints.
2005-07-08 [Alkor]: How was the bombing in new york clinton's fault? He wasnt president then. Plus, if Bush is a good president, why isnt he fighting his own wars? I mean, he has his dad, democrates and republicans doing it for him. Why is it that he invaded iraq and killed millions of innocents/soil
2005-07-08 [Leelo]: o.O Clinton made a mess of things while he was in office, so that could have triggered the bombin, and when Bush got in office most of these things have been blamed on him, because he found out Clinton's messes and has been tryin to fix them.
2005-07-08 [Kyrinn]: Clinton was a lame duck. He didnt do anything in office, and a lot of stuff he is given credit for, he shouldnt have. He rode on the coat tails of the previous administration
2005-07-08 [Leelo]: lol yeah I heard his daughter was gonna try ti run for president... oh lord if she's dumb like him we're all doomed...
2005-07-08 [Alkor]: HAHA..I have a feeling that she would get ejected in the first round of election..
2005-07-08 [Kyrinn]: *prays frantically* God help us... Either her or Clinton's awful wife. Didnt you love it how when Clinton was in trouble for some reason, suddenly she was Hilary Rodham Clinton, but when he was in good she would drop the maiden name? *laughs* As if to say "Oh Im not with him, Im a Rodham, not a Clinton!!" *giggles*
2005-07-08 [Leelo]: haha yeah, and didn't you notice Everytime Clinton was lyin he'd always sweat and studder, like when he was coverin up what he did. He was sweatin and studderin and still especially "hollywood" loves clinton!!!!!!!
2005-07-08 [Maurer's conclusions]: Haha, I love how Bush supporters call Clinton dumb. If Clinton is dumb, then that makes Bush the intellectual equivalent to an amoeba.
2005-07-08 [Kyrinn]: *laughs* you are funny, Erkarkano. Ask any person under the age of 20 what Clinton is famous for, and you know what it will be? That he smoked pot but didnt inhale, and that he was "doin' it" in the oval office. Two words for Clinton, two good words, and it does say it in the books.. Clinton was a LAME DUCK. He did nothing his last year in office, he lied, he cheated, and it was the most amuzing thing to see him play up to the cameras. At a funeral he was caught on camera laughing and joking, but as soon as he saw that camera, the water works started. Thats why Hollywood loves him so much, he's an actor when he wants to appear "caring" when in fact he is devoid of such a thing.
2005-07-08 [Maurer's conclusions]: I'm not saying he was a good president. I didn't like him that much more than Bush. But Clinton was intelligent enough to be able to speak impromptu on anything, whereas Bush needs notecards, written speeches to answer the simplest of questions, and he still mangles it all.
2005-07-08 [Kyrinn]: Oh so Clinton could talk out of his ass, big deal. I think I prefer a president who has notes over one who does it on the fly. Its like car salesmen. If I go to a car dealership and the guy is spouting numbers off the top of his head without consulting the numbers, I dont trust him. I trust a person more if they consult notes/books/pa
2005-07-08 [Dil*]: I'd rather have a smart president than a dumb one who can't even memorize a few facts.
2005-07-08 [Kyrinn]: Hey, if I was him, I'd be going in there with notes. Some of the greatest ppl of our country have not been great speakers. And just becuase you can talk fast without notes certainly is not the mark of a smart person. Ive seen plenty of morons who could debate and speak well, more of those than ppl who stumble over notes when they speak. Just because you can swim like a swan doesnt mean you ARE a swan.
2005-07-09 [Catlover]: Isn't being able to debate and speak well - regardless of with or without notes - one of the more important things for a President or any politician to be able to do, though?
2005-07-09 [Kyrinn]: Even if you dont speak well you can still debate. Its not required to be a fast talker. Thats an aspect I give to creepy car salemen, lol..
2005-07-09 [tiragon]: Clinton was not a lame duck Kyrinn, he saved the US's Economy from disaster
2005-07-09 [Catlover]: Sorry - I don't think I mean the same thing by 'speak well' as you do. I mean speaking well in making good speeches and so on...not necessarily talking quickly, just talking well.
2005-07-09 [Kyrinn]: Clinton most certainly did not save the economy. You make it sound like he is some kind of hero. The man did nothing in office, and LAME DUCK is a term used to describe him. I also think that Clinton got credit for a lot of things he did not do. and a few things Bush is being blamed for is stuff Clinton did in office.
2005-07-09 [Leelo]: Yeah I agree.
2005-07-10 [tiragon]: I'm not saying Clinton was a hero, and yea he screwed up sometimes, But before Clinton our economy was horrific, while Clinton was in office our economy got better, and why? Because some of the things he did helped.
2005-07-10 [Llevon]: also helped the japanese economy. i hear the campagne for laundry detergent over there was a big success when they claimed they could get the stains out of monica's dress. on the down side, tho, it's just one more reason for them to laugh at us.
